Drug Uses
A combination of estrogen hormone and progestin hormone, Ortho Tri–Cyclen is used for preventing pregnancy. It is also used for regulating menstrual cycle.
How Taken
Coming in tablet form, it can be taken orally. The general dosage is one pill per day and it should be noted that there should not be a gap of more than 24 hours between two medications. The pills can be taken early morning, before bed or with a meal. While taking the pill in the night, you can control nausea.
Do not miss the pills. If you miss the pills, there is higher risk of getting conceived. During the first 13 packs of Ortho Tri-Cyclean, you may come across light bleeding and may feel sick in the stomach. However, you should not stop taking the pills and these side effects can go away in a matter of days. Well, if it persists, consult your physician.
Missed Dose
Once you have missed the dosage, better take it when you remember it. May be you might have to take two pills a day but you have to take it. Well, if more dosage is missed, it is better to consult the doctor.
