Drug Uses
Clomid is prescribed for the treatment of female infertility by way of stimulating the ovaries to produce higher numbers of mature follicles, thereby increasing ovulation and pregnancy.
How Taken
Clomid does not have to be taken with food. Your doctor will prescribe the right dosage for you. Sexual intercourse should take place during the period of ovulation which occurs between 5-10 days after taking Clomid. Do not take more than three courses of Clomid. If the treatment of Clomid has been unsuccessful, your doctor may recommend other methods of treatment.
Missed Dose
If a dose is missed, it can be taken as soon as you remember, as long as it does not clash with the next scheduled dose. In this case, rather skip the missed dose. Never take a double dose.

Clomid is to be used with caution. Side-effects include dizziness, lightheadedness and blurred vision. When alcohol, or other medication is taken with Clomid, these side-effects may intensify. In the early stages of taking Clomid, refrain from driving or operating machinery in case you react badly to Clomid. If any of abovementioned side-effects persist, contact your doctor immediately. Clomid is only to be taken by the patient for whom it was prescribed. Never increase or decrease the dosage without first consulting a doctor. If pregnancy occurs as a result of taking Clomid, it is possible that more than one egg is fertilized, thereby resulting a multiple pregnancy.
