Diovan helps in the treatment of high blood pressure

Diovan comes under a group of medicines known as angiotensin II receptor antagonists. The generic name of Diovan is hydrocholorothiazide and valsartan. The drug is mainly given to patients having high pressure and also to lower the risk of problems after a heart failure.

Diovan keeps the blood vessels from getting contracted, which means more blood flows through the vessels.
